Eros and Thanatos

Like Zola, I believe that "the conclusion does not belong to the artist", so I am not used to explaining my photos. I'll make a short exception here.

My last images play with the theme of Eros and Thanatos, life and death, sex and nothingness: a woman, like a nymph, carrying the skull of an ox, like an offering.

In the background, the bare plain is cut by a Styx. In the foreground, the woman whose white breasts are both maternal and carnal. She is holding an ox's skull, white, burnt by the sun. Finally, the red forms a contrast, linking the passion of the woman to the blood of the ox shed in sacrifice.

Comme Zola, je crois que « la conclusion n'appartient pas à l'artiste », aussi n'ai-je pas l'habitude d'expliquer mes photos. Je vais faire une courte exception ici.

Mes dernières images jouent avec la thématique d'éros et thanatos, la vie et la mort, le sexe et le néant: une femme, comme une nymphe, portant le crâne d'un b?uf, comme une offrande.

En arrière-plan, la plaine nue est découpée par un Styx. En avant-plan, la femme dont les seins blancs sont à la fois maternels et charnels. Elle tient un crâne de b?uf, blanc, brulé par le soleil. Enfin, le rouge forme un contraste, liant la passion de la femme au sang du b?uf versé en sacrifice.
